Act 4 scene 1 starts in friar Lawrence’s cell. Paris is speaking about the marriage. When Paris sees Juliet and when they speak; Juliet doesn’t seem to like or dislike him. Juliet tells Friar Lawrence that she will rather kill herself than marry Paris. Friar Lawrence has a plan which Juliet must drink a potion before the day of marriage which makes her seem dead for 48 hours and then when Capulet finds her dead she will be taken to wear all Capulets are taken. When she wakes up Romeo will be with her in Mancua. Friar Lawrence will send Romeo a letter of this plan.
Act 4 scene 2 starts when Juliet sees Capulet and Lady Capulet preparing for the wedding. She tells her parents that she has changed her mind about marrying Paris and she will do it. Capulet is so happy that he moves the wedding a day forward to wednesday which is tomorrow. Juliet goes up to her room to get ready for the wedding. Capulet goes to find Paris to tell him the good news that the wedding day has moved to wednesday.
